WELCOME TO JASPER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, INC.
In 1996 Bill Weber and Ed Mitchell, along with other concerned citizens of Jasper County came together to create an economic group. Eventually, the group created the official organization called Jasper County Economic Development Inc. (JEDI) on November 15th, 2012. They teamed up with the University of Illinois Extension Office to make Ken Larimore the full time Economic Development Director who looked over Jasper and other surrounding counties. In 2018, the partnership with U of I Extension Office ended, but JEDI continues to promote economic growth for the communities of Jasper County.
